  • Be More Race is a Standard Bank sponsorship property that is meant to engage existing and potential customers, key stakeholders and communities through a key uniting passion point – sport.
  • The event is predominantly an athletics and wellness event.
  • Introduced in 2017, the event has in three years grown to become probably the most popular and lucrative athletics event in Malawi.
  • It is a 4-month event which commences February/March and finishes in June.
  • Prior to the main race held in Lilongwe, there are three forerunner races in the country’s big cities of Mzuzu, Lilongwe and Blantyre.
  • The city races are categorized into 5km and 10km races while the main race has these two plus the 21km marathon which comes with cash prizes.
