On 6th November 2019, Standard Bank held a workshop at BICC for female staff members who are mentors under the Standard Bank Girls Mentorship program.

The theme of the workshop was “Dream Bigger – Awaken The Dream Within”

Delivering her keynote address, Lynette Ntuli, Founding Director and CEO of Innate Investment Solutions, challenged Standard Bank women to break boundaries to unleash their inner greatness.

“It is time to colour outside the lines society has drawn around us, walk out on all obstacles, step outside the box and dream big.”

Ntuli also commended the participants for giving back to the community through mentorship and encouraged them to continuously build themselves up, “In order to be a light to the girls we mentor, we need to be willing to burn. We need to constantly reinvent, recut, restyle and rework ourselves.”

The participants also received financial planning guidelines from Daniel Dunga and another empowering motivational talk from Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka, both of who shared tips on how to believe in one’s dreams and bring them to reality.

Standard Bank Head of Marketing, Thoko Unyolo, gave the women insights on how to manage their social media presence.

The workshop attendees then put their dreams into plans through an arts and crafts activity in which they created vision boards for 2020 and beyond.
